After fresh install of Jaunty, I went and added my friend Wanda to the panel. I was then informed that the fortune program was not installed! Happily an easy fix.
sudo apt-get install fortune-mod
I then mistakenly removed a panel applet which had been minimizing some programs(not the notification area) and looked like an envelope.
I thought I was removing the email shortcut (clever HuH). does anyone know what that applet is called?
