I'm also trying to use an animated picture for the skydome, but so far I think it can't be done.

To clear things out, I'm NOT trying to use the "Animate Skydome" option that is available. I'm trying to use an animated picture, ->like this one (http://www.badongo.com/pic/6165864?size=original)<-, so that it would play when rotating the cube.

If I try to use the above linked image I get the following warning:
http://www.badongo.com/pic/6166202?size=originalhttp://www.badongo.com/t/640/6166202

If I continue, the picture wont display at all.

So, can it be done? Can we have an animated skydome?

I saw a youtube video once where a guy used the XGL screensaver as the background in compiz. I don't think it rotated as you move your cube tho.
I bet I can find that again...

Well, Mr. Snippy. I was at work and I don't get Youtube there. I did look for it last night, but didn't find it. I found one with a matrix skydome and he also had the matrix screensaver as his desktop background. Not what I was looking for. I could have sworn I've seen the screensaver running behind a cube...
