I got a new Dell Studio 17 laptop, I'd like to install Jaunty on it. I already used ubuntu on my aging desktop as a dual boot with Win XP.

Problem is I'm not that experienced with laptops and not at all with Dell or Vista (default install).

First Dell has an F12 boot option choice, will this be a problem with GRUB ?

My laptop has two hard drives, I'd like to install it on the second drive wich if for the moment empty. I'd like to do the partitioning manually so I have a seperate home partition. Now should I do something special making the partitions so GRUB will mount the two operating systems correctly ?

And if it all goes wrong can I just use the Vista OS disk to repair the MBR ?

Never mind I looked up some things on the web and hoped for the best.
So far no problems.
