Hello Ubuntu Users,

I have used Ubuntu for my computer for a month or 2 now (loving it) For my Gr. 8 Science Fair I am making my own Ubuntu variant for Seniors. I created a new 34.2 GB Partition using GParted, but when I try to install ubuntu, I can't figure out how to install it onto that partition.

It wants to either

A) Take a chunk out of my currnt Ubuntu Partition Itself
or
B) Take up both my Physical Hard Drives wiping them both

Help???

You can do a manual partitioning. There you can assign the root to your 34 Gb.

I tried that menu and could not seem to figure it out

That question is hard to answer. You might find some useful pointers here: http://www.shivaranjan.com/2009/04/26/ubuntu-linux-jaunty-jackalope-904-installation-guide-walkthrough/
