Not much chance of that with JB behind the Wheel and RB at the helm

That actually aint a bad idea. A community sponsorship for BrawnGP

I'll even chuck in £50 to get the ball rolling.

How about it says "Powered by Ububtu" instead? Or both!

It looks good. Just don't put it on a Ferrari (the color's will clash and you wont be able to see the logo).

Looks good, but is this the demographic group we should be aiming at?

It would help more if we all just placed a Linux sticker on our own car.

What about sticking them on other peoples cars?
Or would that be vandalizing?

F1 fans aren't stereotyped like Indycar fans are. ;)

Sorry.. I thought it was obvious.

It is obvious to Formula One fans.

To those that don't know... That racecar is Jenson Button of the brand new F1 team Brawn GP

They are leading the championship at the moment and look very likely to win it.

And they don't have a major sponsor YET

Millions of people.. Including Technology peeps could see Ubuntu on the side of that car.. And Microsoft will kick themselves for opportunity lost.

Balls on it's way.. Hit a homie

I'd love to see this, long as it's on the Brawn cars. :)

The front tyre isn't moving because the car is braking and apparently the front brakes locked.

Wrong.

They put these covers over the wheels to help aerodynamics.

The front is supposed to stay fixed as it helps introduce airflow to the front brakes and facilitate cooling without causing too much drag.

F1 fans (well the ones I know) are very technically minded, appreciate the impact of the engineering involved and are generally competent computer users, unlike the stereotypical 'NASCAR dad'.

Also, the car illustrated is a Brawn BGP001, and Ross Brawn, the team principal/owner/chief designer, is as much a star as the drivers. If anything, he could be seen as the reason for their success. He had a lot to do with Ferrari and Michael Schumacher's dominance in the late '90s.

Glad to see someone knows their stuff.

Ross Brawn is a genius. He even pointed out the possible outcome of the diffuser rules before the season got under way.

F1 is in turmoil atm with the FIA at loggerheads with FOTA
A breakaway series is being threatened.

Personally I believe they need to chop Mad Maximus Mosely & Bernie MoneyBags ecclestone out of the big picture. If that means a new series and a new name then so be it.

So.. A little mucking around in an image processor package.. Here's my idea.
