When I go to the download page and choose 64 bit version and then Begin Download, it provides me with ubuntu-9.04-desktop-amd64.iso. But my CPU is Intel. See the attached JPG for the details.
Is that the right ISO for my machine? I don't think so but I don't know.
I am, BTW, a newbie. I tried Ubuntu 8 but couldn't make the switch from Windows. Now I want to try again and I was inspired by this article http://www.tuxradar.com/content/ubuntu-904-32-bit-vs-64-bit-benchmarks to try 64 bit. But do you think I should? Maybe I should stick with 32 bit until I know Ubuntu better?
In short, which ISO should I be downloading?
Thanks!
