#1 This is a major failure of your software management system. Please check for broken packages with synaptic, check the file permissions and correctness of the file '/etc/apt/sources.list' and reload the software information with: 'sudo apt-get update' and 'sudo apt-get install -f'

#2 An unresolvable problem occurred while initializing the package information.

Please report this bug against the 'update-manager' package and include the following error message:

'E:Type '“deb' is not known on line 39 in source list /etc/apt/sources.list, E:The list of sources could not be read.

You have incorrect entries in your sources.list as well as mixing different releases repos can cause breakages. I would suggest deleting from your sources.list

“deb http://www.getautomatix.com/apt dapper main”
“deb http://www.getautomatix.com/apt dapper main”
“deb http://www.getautomatix.com/apt dapper main”
“deb http://www.getautomatix.com/apt feisty main”Open a terminal and

gksu gedit /etc/apt/sources.list delete or comment (#) out those repos and save then back in the terminal

sudo apt-get update
