View Full Version : [ubuntu] xset -r not working in Jaunty? Bug?

When using Jaunty 64-bit, either install or via the live CD, if I try to disable keyboard repeating via the command xset -r the system starts going wild with what appears to be and endless loop of sending the enter key. You can't get out of it when it happens,and you're forced to power down the system.

Am I doing something wrong or is this really broken? I want to be able to set this from the command line so that I can turn the keyboard repeat on and off via a script.

I believe this is a bug as it has impacted two different machines on both live CDs and installs. I've went ahead and filed the following bug report:
