I'm upgrading through Update Manager, but the installation is stopped for 24 hours at "Running post-installation trigger man-db". The last line on the terminal window below that message shows "Processing triggers for man-db ...". The machine seems to run well otherwise and I am able to share files normally over the network.

Would interrupting the update at this point cause a major problem? Will it be able to reboot normally? What should I do?

After leaving the computer on for 3 days waiting for a reply, I decided to restart it. Should anything go wrong - e.g., no boot -, I'd just re-install version 8.10.

To my surprise, the system seemed to work fine on reentry. Update Manager showed there was an interrupted update and I had it restarted. It went on flawlessly all the way to the end. After cleanup and reboot, 9.04 is up and running.
