View Full Version : [ubuntu] Upgrading Issues from 8.10 to 9.04

Hello Everyone...
Just for the record, my laptop is an HP G7070EJ that has a Intel GMA X3100 Graphics Card, and i'm pretty newbie to ubuntu but fairly expert on windows, so can handle my way through more complicated actions... i just need to be instructed on where to do things.

Today i upgraded my ubuntu from 8.10 to 9.04 using the "direct way" with the Update Manager.
After Rebooting, i saw that my graphics card was under-preforming as if there were no driver installed (under 8.10 it worked great).
i searched this site and googled some other sites for a solution. i found out quickly that there's a known issue with 9.04 and intel graphics card.
i found this:
which was promising at first - but after i finished and rebooted my laptop, not only that the graphics was without change, but now my wireless isn't working (seems to be disabled without the option to re-enable it).

PLEASE HELP ME - i'd hate to have to format and install 8.10 again...

cheers and thanks for any help...
