Hello!
I'm Ubuntu beginner and I have a problem. After updating 8.10 to 9.04 and restarting computer, my linux doesn't start in normal mode but in text mode:"
Gave up waiting for root device. Common problems:
-Boot args (cat /proc/cmdline)
-Check rootdelay= (did the system wait long enough?)
-Check root= (did the system wait for the right device?)
-Missing modules (cat /proc/modules; ls /dev)
ALERT! /dev/disk/by-uuid/310147a9-f21c-4e7c-aeb0-18f31073da58 does not exist. Dropping to a shell!
BusyBox v1.10.2 (Ubuntu 1:1.10.2-2ubuntu7) built-in shell (ash)
Enter 'help' for a list of built-in commands.
(initramfs)
kernel 2.6.27-11-generic
I don't know how to repair it & I don't want to come back to Windows but if I won't repair it, it may happen.
Please, help me!
Hardware:
AMD Athlon 64 x2 dual core QL60 1.9
