View Full Version : [ubuntu] Old hardware--ISA Network Adapters

I'm trying to install Ubuntu 8 (d/l'ed the image and burned the CD yesterday, I believe) on some older desktop systems, and am having trouble getting it to detect the older ISA Network cards. Specifically, I have an AME 2976053900 (a Novell NE2000 clone), a 3Com Etherlink III 3c509 and a couple of Networth 1032's. They seem to work when I plug them in (lights light up, etc.), but I get the message during the install that "no network interface was detected" or some such.

How do I get the intsallation programs to detect these cards?
