Hello,

I am trying the Live CD for Ubuntu 9.04, but after I select the option to start Ubuntu without any change to my computer it will give this error about 2 minutes into loading.

Loading hardware drivers...
udevd-event [3029]: exec of program '/lib/udev/write_cd_rules' failed

init: rc-default main process [3038] terminated with status 2

I have tested the CD and it came back fine, I used it on another computer and it loaded with no problems. I did check the MD5 of the file after it was downloaded and it came back good.

Here are the specs of my computer.
Intel Pentium 4 processor, 3.06GHz
1016MB RAM
The graphics card is a NVIDIA GeForce FX 5500 with 256MB of memory.

If you need any other specs or any other info, please let me know.

Thanks

I forgot to add, this computer has XP on it, I would like to set up a dual boot with XP and Ubuntu.

Just a update.

I got rid of the...

Loading hardware drivers...
udevd-event [3029]: exec of program '/lib/udev/write_cd_rules' failed
I hooked my printer back in to my computer using the USB port, now the "Loading hardware drivers..." has a OK.

I am still getting this error.

init: rc-default main process [3038] terminated with status 2

Any ideas on how to get this to work?

Another update.

I re-downloaded another Ubuntu ISO file, and it still does the same as before.
