View Full Version : [ubuntu] Asus M2N68-VM Install Problems

I have gotten all excited for Jaunty, stuck in the Live CD all is well. Installed Ubuntu, it seemed to work fine. Then when I restart after it's installed my PC tells me there's no boot device. I have 2 Sata drives Sata 1 is a 320gb and Sata 2 is 500gb. Ubuntu ran fine when I had the 320gb in an old compaq machine. Now that I've built this one I can't seem to wrap my head around it. Windows XP & Vista & 7 all install fine and boot with no issues. Just when it comes to Linux and grub it tells me there's no boot device. I've tried Sata mode, Raid mode and Ahci mode with no avail. Anyone else experiencing this? I was planning to drop Win32 completely and run Ubuntu exclusively. I also have no IDE drives to test as my drive has one IDE controller which is disabled.
