I've been using ubuntu for about a year now, but I'm one of those people who will spend 20 minutes to find a GUI for something I could have done in one minute through the command line. So writing scripts was right out. But with Jaunty and its feelings that programs should only ever launch on my primary monitor, I'm going through and writing custom launchers for all my common 2nd monitor programs. And once I was over the initial "gah code scary" moment, it got me thinking. I'm a World of Warcraft multiboxer, and I frequently need to launch four instances of WoW on my second monitor. Since I'm writing a launcher script anyway, is it possible to tell the windows to open at a certain size and position? It would be lovely not to have to line them up and resize them to fit every time.
