Yesterday I upgraded my computer from 8.10 to 9.04, but after this my system cannot boot. It shows Black screen with a blinking _. I cannot boot from a Live CD too. With live CD it shows : BUffer I/O error on device fd0, logical block 0. Maybe a problem with floppy, but i donīt have a floppy. I used several live CDs, 8.04 and 9,04, but no one works. Any idea how to repair my system, or how to make a nem installation? I had a 64 bit system

It sounds like you could have a problem with your CD/DVD drive. I know that my DVD drive will act as though there is an error with the CD and will come up with the same Buffer IO message. But, on my CD drive, it will install & run it with no problems at all. There is a big difference between a good quality drive and a lower quality one.
