Can I get the trash can on the desktop (like Mint)?

Is it possible to get the trash can/deleted items folder on the desktop instead of adding it to the panel?

You can with Linux Mint and it's standard with Fedora, so I imagine there's a minor tweak someone could tell me?

hit alt-f2

run gconf-editor

navigate to /apps/nautilus/desktop

check "trash_icon_visible"
