Hi, I spent a lot of time in making the microphone working under 8.10

Today I switched to 9.04 just to discover that the audio output too is mute.

I played with kmix but apparently this is not the solution, all the possible devices are selected, shall I try all the possible combinations? is there a way to check the characteristics of my audio card without going by chance?

I also tried with the skype test or with the system settings.

I have installed pulseaudio and the volume control and modifed my groups so that I belong to pulseaudio and pulsert.

With system settings I can see my hardware but the only available button is "test".

Any help?

thanks,
g.
