I recently received a eeePC with WindowsXP loaded on it. I want to dual boot with ubnutu. The problem for me is that the eeePC is really a tablet PC. It does not have a cd/dvd ROM. I need to find a way to load ubuntu using a USB thumb drive. I can get into BIOS to set up to boot from one but I'm not sure how to get the OS on the thumb drive and make it bootable. Purchasing an external optical drive is not an option I wish to explore. any advice out there?
