View Full Version : [ubuntu] 9.04 resolution bigger than screen?

I just installed 9.04 on my Dell Mini 9 and everything was great... until I restarted.

Now, when I boot my machine, I pass the Ubuntu loading stuff, the log in screen and I get to my desktop. The problem is: I only see my wallpaper. I don't see any panels or anything.

If I right click the desktop, I get a right click menu as usual. Also, if I open up a window (like "Change Desktop Background), the window is slightly off the screen both horizontally and vertically. Is the resolution bigger than the monitor size? :O

If so, how do I fix? If not... how do I fix?

Additional: I created a folder on my desktop. I opened it. I get the nautilus window, but it has NO window frame. I see the menubar, the status bar and everything in between, but I see NO window frame (including the top part with the name and min/max/close buttons).

Is gnome not booting?
