resolution problems after jaunty update

didnt save my settings how how how do i fix this...
when i restart the screen is all lines

When I restart I appear to get a blank screen. Like all I see is my wallpaper. However, I can right click and a right click menu comes up. Also, if I launch something, it opens but appears slightly off screen. Is this a resolution problem!?
