:confused: I have made several attempts to install the 9.04 Ubuntu on a Dell inspiron 7000 with 333mb Ram. I have previously used Ubuntu 6.1-8.10 on the machine without problems. I have attempted both fresh install with the downloaded and sum checked installer on CD, and tried the upgrade route while operating in Ubuntu 8.10 but both installs hang at about during the "Ubuntu" screen with a progress bar at about 5-10%. I'd appreciate any help even if it means someone telling me this ancient machine is now a candidate for the scrap heap.
