Hi,

I recently bought Acer Aspire One, and I would like to install Ubuntu Netbook Remix on it. I tried to install it with memory stick but it gave an error so I couldn't be success full at that.

Is there a way to find the .iso file of Netbook Remix so that I can install it on CD? Or a way to record the image file to a CD?

I have tried with Nero, it sees the image file records it but after recording completed, I see no file on the cd?

Thanks,
:guitar:

Hi,

Have you read:
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Installation/FromImgFiles

Try the methods mentioned to get the image onto the memory stick or SD card.

Best of luck,

you can dowload the normal ubuntu jauntu iso and create a cd from that and install it

than you can install the netbook remix via synaptic manager

the .img file from unr release should be installed from an usb key

Actually after installing Ubuntu 8.10, I cant boot from CD?

Although, from the bios, 1st boot device is cd, its not starting from cd anymore?

Do you have any idea about this?

Thanks,
