I just upgraded from Intrepid to Jaunty and when I launch firefox two negative results occur:
Launch Firefox and I am taken to the Jaunty Login screen -- I reenter the administrative Unsername and Password and then I am taken to the desktop.
The second bad things that happens is that I have to reenter the "Keyring" password so I can access the wireless.
Firefox never opens.
If I click the Firefox icon to launch it that cycle repeats.
I'm using Konquerer from this same system until I can get the Firefox running.
Everything else about the upgrade seems to be working. Really need your help getting past this glitch.
Thanks,
ET
UPDATE -- I solved the problem with the keyring by checking the remember keyring password button. Okay. BUT -- I seem to be getting kicked out whenever a window is RESIZED on the desktop. I don't think it is specific to Firefox. I tried to use the Synaptic Package manager. I was kicked out to the login screen.
