Problems with screen at boot up

Hello all,

i loaded ubuntu 9.04 server from iso it loaded fine but now when i boot up
all i get is a white screen with bars and the system freezed.

i cannot get access to desktop i have a ati radeon card 7000

any ideas anyone...help
