I am currently running Windows 7 Beta with a dual boot to Ubuntu 8.10 (now upgrading to 9.xx). I was wondering if I can have a triple boot of Windows 7, Ubuntu AND Kubuntu?

(I've had 3 or 4 MS boots on a single system before.)

Thanks,

jwkhead

Why not. It should work. as long as you do not try to use the same home partition/ /home/username directory between Ubuntu and kubuntu.

You can do that, and I did that myself for a while, but I decided that it is just as simple to have both GNOME and KDE on the same Ubuntu version. From Ubuntu:

sudo apt-get install kubuntu-desktop

If you're a purist like me, you'll have to edit the menus in GNOME/KDE to remove the gtk/qt entries (respectively), but it works better than tri-booting for that purpose alone :-).

I agree to that. You were a little bit faster ;)
