Sorry, I have tried a search and cannot find an answer. My computer is now using the DVI connection to my monitor. When I put in the 8.10 version disk in, I get the boot menu but when I chose to run the Ubuntu disk, all I get is a blue screen? I have sound, I figure it is not sensing the DVI connection? When I used the VGA connection in the past, everything worked fine.

I have to use the DVI on this computer because my other computer only had VGA.

Thanks for your help.

It is the Asus M2A-VM motherboard with ATI 1250 onboard video.

this has something to do with selecting the boot mode when it is booting from the disk, i read it in a post here long ago, after getting it to install then go back and try different monitor resolutions, if i find the post i saw i will let you know

Problem solved, the NEW Ubuntu version sensed the DVI connection no problem. I must say, they did excellent work on the new version, I connected using my wireless in 20 second setup even using the live disc. Great job people, thank you :).
