how do upgrade when i have burnt an immage to a disk

i have burnt a ubuntu 9.04 image to a disk as i will need to upgrade 2 computers 1 without the internet and i cant get the 1st 1 to upgrade from the disk i am running 8.10 on 1 and 8.04 on the other but the one that needs it is the 8.10 one as that is my normal use computer

I think for your stated purposes, you need the alternate iso download...
