I Just placed the 32bit iso on a flash drive using unetbootin and it's just causing me problems.

It's just giving me the text based installer and it wont install because it can't detect a cdrom drive, because of course there isn't one on the computer.

just yesterday I was using the release candidate and that was working just peachy off the flash drive with unetbootin. I don't even think I have the iso to that anymore.

How do I install 9.04 off a flash drive?

sigh, looks like i downloaded the alternate install. I guess that isn't so flash drive friendly. dling the desktop iso now.

The alternate is okay. Don't worry about it. You'll still get the same desktop in the end.

I am going to do a fresh install of 9.04 with unetbootin (windows version).

Started yesterday, but realised I had to backup my home first, so I cancelled the install.

As far as I saw, there were no problems with unetbootin.

Iso booted ok and the liveCD was FAST ( as the Iso was on my harddrive)

Going to try again tonight, when I have backed up my home partition.
