During my Intrepid to Jaunty upgrade my keyboard and mouse froze and I had to reboot it and restart the upgrade in the middle of it because it wouldn't let me continue without selecting an option for samba. Because of this (I think that's the reason, anyway) I've noticed some little quirks, most of them I've fixed, but I can't find a way to get my system to use the new pop-up notifications that I've seen in Jaunty screen shots. My system is still using Intrepid's notifications for when I adjust the volume, my network connects, etc. How do I change these to the new ones?
Solved: I found another thread that mentioned the package notify-osd, which I installed and now everything is good.
