8.10 - No sound after updates

Can anyone advise how to roll back the pulseaudio driver?

I have no sound, verified hardware is working via dual boot, sound was working before update this morning.

I had much the same issue. What I forgot was that I have a Creative X-Fi soundcard, which means I have to reinstall the driver every time the kernel changes.

It may be that you have the same or similar issue.

The only solution that worked for me was installing 9.04... if I'd paid for this I'd be furious, lol.
