I looked through the "appearance" setting and couldn't find any way to change colors for gnome panels. I'm trying to change the colors of the gnome panels, specifically the selected and hover colors. Is there a GUI for this or a script?

Hi catsup.

Click on system> administration> synaptic package manager.
Enter password.
Search for gnome color chooser.

Check the box, click " mark for installation".

Click " mark all upgrades".

Click " apply".

Click " apply" again.

thanks for the reply. however, i didn't mention that i run sabayon because i thought the feature would be native to gnome. looked through my package manager and equo but couldn't find gnome color chooser so i'll be using the tarball. thanks for sending me in the right direction though.

You can't just right click on panel and go properties > background ????
