I just upgraded Ubuntu 8.10 to 9.04 beta (one day before the official release).
The system worked well before and now there is a graphics problem. Everything works until the login should appear. Only random colors are visible and it is not possible to switch to a shell (ctrl-alt-f1/f2/...) or there are also such colors.
xfix did also not solve the problem.
The LiveCD WORKS!!! I don't know why.
I have a Thinkpad W500.
