In Microsoft Outlook, there was the ability to add different recurring events, such as national holidays and religious celebrations. If I remember correctly, it was an option on tools and you could select the group of events that you wanted to add.

I'm in the process of converting one of my clients to ubuntu, and I will be using Evolution. I'd like to be able to add Canadian holidays and Catholic feast days, and I'm hoping that there is an easy way to accomplish this.

Any suggestions would be most welcome.

Thanks,

This shows me how to enter them manually. I was hoping that they were already setup somewhere and I could just import them - Catholics have lots of feast days, and we still celebrate Victoria Day!

Thanks,

Thanks,

I am using "US holiday", "moon phases" and many calendars like this with evolutions.

Calendars like this are easily available on internet. All you have to do is that you have to download them in ical format. Then import the file in your evolution and you are all set.

If you search on internet with your desired calendar name + ical, then you will find many calendars like this.

For example, on your demand, I searched for "Roman catholic calendar ical" on google, and I found this website....

On this site, you will find an option 'subscribe' ical. You click that and it asks if you want to import that on evolution. You just click that and this calendar is on your evolution!

Rest of the other calendars you can find like this only.

Hope this helps :)
