I have installed Messenger 7.5 via Wine on my wifes PC (she is a recent Linux convert and doesn't like pidgin).

It runs ok but I can't get it to autostart on boot.

I have added this command ind startup-programs:

WINEPREFIX=/home/wife/Messenger wine /home/wife/Messenger/drive_c/Program\ Files/MSN\ Messenger/msnmsgr.exe

but that doesn't seem to do the trick.

Messenger is installed in its own prefix and starts fine when I use the terminal.

My wife is running Jaunty.

Any suggestions?

Thank you in advance.

Have you considered amsn ? Gui is a lot like msn & you don't have to dice with wine;)

Yes I have but so far no luck in convincing the miss'es. :-)

Maby in a little while. So far she is happy with Ubuntu.

Any ideas on how I autostart Messenger via Wine?

I have added the command in autostart programs but nothing happens?
