I have installed Skype (LINUX version).
But when I run Skype, the internet stops. At that time, I cannot do anything on the web. I have to restart Ubuntu to work on web .

Also how do I uninstall Skype. it is not showing in apllications.

Just looked under Apllications (Add/remove). (Found it under Synamptic package manager).
Problem is that , the Skype is not functioning properly.

How did you install skype....? Using the .deb filed from skype download site...?

If so, to remove skype from your machine, open a terminal (Applications > Accesories > Terminal) and enter the code below followed by your password

sudo aptitude remove skype

OR using the Synaptic package manager.

Try the package in the medibuntu (http://www.medibuntu.org/) repository. See here for more info

Post back if you still encounter problems and let us know what is not working properly in skype.
