Can't watch videos on websites

Hi everyone, I've been trying to figure this out myself but can't seem to. I just upgraded Ubuntu 9.04 (upgraded.........not a fresh install) and can watch youtube videos, but I can't watch hulu videos and other videos around the net. The only ones that I can watch are quicktime and flash. Also, the playlist at playlist.com does not load and so therefore I can't listen to any music.

Does anyone have any suggestions/ideas? I saw a post very similar to mine, but it seems that the poster couldn't even watch youtube videos, which I can....just nothing else.
