It's not easy at times. The lady of the house likes my full attention!

Eat. Learning makes me hungry.
Subs are good, so are whole grain cerials.
Peanut based things, pastas..... Ah, now I'm making myself hungry.

Browse /b/ on 4chan until you stumble upon something really freaky. That usually diverts my attention back to studying.

I'm always a bit dubious about herbal remedies, but I've used ginkgo a few times, and it definitely helps my concentration when studying. You have to take it for a few weeks before the effects become obvious. I can't take it for more than a few months at a time as it has strange effects on my sleep; (Increased dreaming, semi-awareness when fully asleep, it's difficult to explain). I suggest you give it a try, but buy a reputable brand (one company here in Australia was substituting other plants, and contained no Ginkgo at all), and take it at the prescribed rate.

It's a time management system. Basically you break up your time in "Pomodoros" of 25 minutes each where you are required to keep on exactly one task.
Mostly this applies to procrastination due to one's incessant need to be perfect, but maybe it'll apply to you. Give it a read.
