View Full Version : Firewall Recommendation

i'm wondering if anybody could suggest a basic hardware firewall that can support multiple IP addresses. I've got a Watchguard Firebox at the moment but it only seems to support one static WAN IP address and then routing to local IP's based on ports.

I'm looking for something that could, for example support two web servers, on different IP addresses (both on port 80) behind the same firewall. it doesn't need an exorbitant throughput capacity... just enough for a few low traffic Internet-facing boxes.

the cheaper the better, but I don't want to cobble together something myself out of old nics and a floppy drive :wink:

Yeah. I suggest you look at the link I posted and then follow some of the links on that site for off the shelf hardware or would you prefer I take the time and do it for you ;)
