Hi!
I have Ubuntu 8.10 installed. Now I want to try Kubuntu 9.04 when it official released. KDE 4.2 looks nice :) What is the simplest path to take ?
Should I upgrade or should I remove everything and start over ?
I have /home on a separate partition.

This is an interesting question. I'm not sure if you can tell update manager to go from Ubuntu to Kubuntu. Anyway, this page discusses various ways to upgrade to 9.04:

When the upgrade finishes you can just install the Kubuntu desktop:

I would first download an iso of Kubuntu 9.04. That way if things get screwed up, you can just do a clean install of Kubuntu 9.04.
Personally, I would favor a clean install over an upgrade. Since your /home is on a separate partition all your data will be safe.

Thanks for the reply. Maybe I choose to make a clean install of Kubuntu.

I'd choose a clean install too, it just seems cleaner to me lol.

Whenever I feel like trying a new OS I install it in VirtualBox first to make sure I like it and to make sure I understand how it works before commiting to a hard drive install.
