Is this mac desktop possible on ubuntu?

I know its kind of sad, but it looks really nice to me. I have played with desklets but have never got on with them that well. This style of desktop on ubuntu would be very sweet on netbook.

I think all you'd need is a suitable wallpaper and conky. Conky would cover weather, system stats, and playing music. I'm not sure about the calendar.

Thanks, does conky slow the machine down much? Seems to be alot going on on some of the scripts..
