Did updates & installed some software then ..hmmmm what is the proper way to do a reboot?

Tried the quit button on the top right of the panel & think all that did was shut off (or remove) the panel, but everything that was open is still there (browsers etc..).

Clicking on Applications brings up another Quit button & I think that one brings up a konsole where I guess you just enter reboot?

Anyway.. tried a few things & not sure anymore what happened.. or what played out exactly.

You simply want to reboot? Sounds like a System -> Shut down.. -> reboot

If you are talking about the portable Ubuntu within windows, you're at the wrong forums.

If normal shutdown doesn't work, you could open a terminal (konsole) and enter
sudo reboot

Thx for the info & yes i was asking about PU. Wasn't sure if this was the place to post about PU but did a search & did find other posts about it

Guess the place to ask about PU questions is the PU forums.
