I'm getting sick of paying so much for dial-up. It rubbish, it's slow, it's expensive and it is not in the slightest bit portable.

I have been pondering on the idea of getting T-mobile broadband because its cheap (for i get a discount for being on t-mobile on my phone) and becuase it will enable me to be virtually wherever i want with an internet connection.

I am just wondering of the dongle will work on Ubuntu, and if not, what dongle based broadband will? Thanx.

Most phone co's are using a Huawei dongle. AFAIK they all work well with Ubuntu.

I'd go for it! I have an E270 ( on Vodafone) which works really well!:D

Hi
I would buy a T Mobile dongle if I can be sure it worked with my Acer Aspire. I have tried to set up in the shop, but it failed. All the staff said was that they thought it should work, but don't know how to make it work! Do you have any tips please?
