i agree :) too early in the game to purchase at such a premium. I wanna see what 2009.06 has to offer. I see my future self as an exclusive Ubuntu/Solaris user.

But the specs aren't too shabby though....

Very true about the specifications.


I went through the distro hopping years ago and I certainly keep up with them nowadays but yo, I'm a hardcore devotee to Ubuntu.

I would say so, I've seen comparable machines (with windows) for ~$600 at walmart. The only
thing that might have been different is the video card. That doesn't call for adding $800 to the
price.
