Poll: Ruby on rails is a pain

I've tried to install a ruby app before, but it failed miserbly. It didn't help that there were no instructions and it was abandonware, but still, ruby on rails is much more complicated to install than a simple php app.

I've never programmed in ruby, nor tried ruby on rails. But, I see Twitter runs on ruby, and has loads of problems! :D

I voted "no" because I think that most problems people have with installing Rails applications are their presumptions about how a web app should have to be installed because of their previous exposure to PHP-based apps.

What did you want to do with the app in question (can you give us a name?) - did you just want to check it out, or run it through a webserver or work on it yourself?
