Wbat is a nice, simple Integrated Development Environment in which to write easy Python progams?

not sure, but this may need to be moved to another forum

yes the programming and development forum is probably a better spot.
Stani's Python Editor (SPE) is my tip. It's excellent and was really good to use when I started learning Python. (still learning but jsut use a text editor for it now)

Geany is an excellent low spec IDE. Or if you want a slightly more posh one go with Eric4. In my opinion, Geany is all you really need.

SPE looked the nicest, with automatic text colouring.

I put the following code in:

print 'hello world'

Then it wants an argument! I donīt know what to say.

I try and hit the run button to see the output, and I simply get the directory of the code that I entered.

What do I need to do to get the program to run and for me to see the output?

Thank you!
