do you think an operating system can be too simple to use? at first i was in love with ubuntu because it gave me a challenge of learning a new os. now i still love it but it's almost too perfect.

Yeah I hate it when things go well and as I planned them.

no, as long as it's still costumisable.

Easy and perfect are too different things. For me, Ubuntu is very easy but far from perfect. Arch to me is easy, and closer to perfect. NetBSD was both hard and not perfect. It's all how you look at it. If you aren't happy with Ubuntu anymore, try something different. Give Arch a shot, and if you can handle compile times give Gentoo a shot. After trying those, you should have a good idea of whether or not Ubuntu is right for you.

what would really freak me out is if conanical released remastered dvd's, obviously they couldn't achieve this with a cd.

could you image not even having to update

opensuse use to release remastered versions, something with a major change in package management killed that idea.

If you're getting bored, the Karmic Koala repos will be open in a couple of weeks, get in at the beginning and enjoy all sorts of problems, and you can make lots of bug reports. :)

Switch to Gentoo or OpenBSD if you're that bored.
