All Video Converter

Is there a converter for video and if possible audios that can convert to almost every format and it has to be for Gnome. Also if it is a .deb package, it would be great. Please i need a converted because now i have to do all the converting manually and i need help with that.

I don't know about all, but avidemux works great for me.

Handbrake works very well.

Thank you all. I'm trying out Handbrake, seems to work fine till now. It can almost convert anything because i was trying .dat file.
