View Full Version : [ubuntu] manually run dpkg ??

Ok naughty me. ( i stopped it during download, it was not doing anything for 1/2 hour ???? ).
An error occurred
The following details are provided:

dpkg was interrupted, you must manually run 'dpkg --configure -a' to correct the problem.
E: _cache->open() failed, please report.

Any idea on how to correct the problem
you will have to break it down to simple turms.

Open a terminal: Menu Applications -> Accessories -> Terminal
Type in the terminal:
sudo dpkg --configure -a
followed by Enter/Return
After that try downloading once more

Status : Error: Failed to satisfy all dependencies (broken cache)

ok a big red button showed up in the tray. that seed to find and report the problem, so it's not resolved yet.

Please Wait for an update.
