I have a dell E1505 with 7 media keys on the front. Configuring shortcuts in Amarok doesn't work, the built in keyboard shortcuts don't work (even when the gnome environment script is running in Amarok) and xbindkeys won't recognise any input from the keys.

Naturally; Mute and volume up/down work naturally, but that's to do the Gnome environment. Unfortunately xbindkeys won't recognise input from my media buttons; I click 'get key' and it won't recognise I'm pushing the buttons... I type it directly in config file and still won't recognise I'm pushing the buttons... Therefore won't let me change song/play/pause or stop.

Is there a fix? I'm on the verge of writing a script to run the dcop amarok next/prev/stop/play commands manually when I push the buttons. But that's messy and takes to much time... can anyone help me make xbindkeys recognise my media keys?
